Congratulations on receiving your anti- wrinkle treatment today at Skintopia.

Please follow these instructions to ensure the best possible results and minimise complications.

Possible side effects and risks include

  • Redness at the injection site lasting 20-30mins
  • Possible bruising that only lasts a couple of days
  • Slight soreness at injection site lasting up to 2 days.
  • Slight headache lasting a couple of hours (take paracetamol
    only)

A rare but possible side effect is a drooping eye lid or brow lasting up to a week. This will either wear off, or we can adjust your treatment to help resolve the issue.

Please remember the following take home rules.

  • Do NOT lie down for at least 3-4hrs to avoid medication
    spreading into undesired muscle.
  • Do NOT rub or lie on the treated area for first week. Ie no
    head down massage/physiotherapy etc.
  • Avoid Alcohol 24hrs prior and 24hrs after.
  • Avoid taking any anti-inflammatory/aspirin or blood thinning
medication for next 48hrs as this will prevent bruising.
  • It is best not to do a heavy workout for 24hrs post.

To start your treatment journey, you will be given a standard dose prescribed by the nurse. Usually, you will see the desired results within 7-14days following
treatment hence your review in two weeks. This gives it optimal time to be at its best effect. Some people may require a small top up due to the relative
strength of the muscle treated which can be hard to judge first treatment. This will be charged per unit.

We feel privileged to be beginning your treatment journey with you.
