Inspiration Series : Trish Peng

Welcome to the second entry of our Inspiration Series, where we interview women who are inspiring us daily through their work, creativity, motherhood, business and passion.

Today we meet Trish Peng, business woman, designer, entrepeneur, and creative. Owner of the incredible bridal brand renowned for its femininity, elegant and bespoke designs. We chat business, balance, and what inspires her to create.

How was your business born?

I knew at the age of 7 that I wanted to be a fashion designer. Teaching myself how to sew and then enrolling into Whitecliffe College for a design degree. From there I started creating custom dresses for client's during the weekend and people started asking for bridal gowns. I fell in love with the wedding industry and it has been my calling! I registered by business in Jan 2014 and worked on it full time and never looked back.

Daily rituals to maintain life balance?

Exercise: I like to work out at least 3 - 4 times a week. Whether it was starting my morning barre class at Barre Figure or playing indoor netball.

Coffee: A coffee with the Dose & Co Collagen Creamer.

Skincare: As my skin is quite sensitive and dry, a must in my daily skincare routine is the Biolumin- C serum and Biolumin-C Eye Serum, combined with the Antioxidant Hydramist

What inspires you to design:

My design inspiration comes from all things feminine. When designing for client's, I try to bring in their vision as well as keeping my aesthetic as a designer, which is feminine and elegant.

Personal goals for this year:

➸ Workout at least 4 times a week

➸ Hit my financial targets for the year

➸ Keep expanding the business to reach the end goal as the next Vera Wang.

Advice for other female entrepreneurs:

Never be afraid of asking for help. It's always a good idea to find a couple of mentors that can help guide you

Take risks and make the most out of every opportunity.

Personal motto you live by:

Work hard, play hard! - Know where to focus your energy and time by having a good work and home balance.
